Dance hall days
Learning to dance was an important part of growing up in Victoria in the early to mid 1900s. Many children learnt dance at school or were taught it by family members. Men and women attended dance classes, eager to improve their skills and learn the latest dance steps.
'Dance hall days' focuses on dance halls in Victoria from the 1920s to 1950s. The objects, photographs and music are intended as stimulus for reminiscing sessions.
