This kit is full of open-ended STEM activities, designed to get your audiences building solutions to real problems. It’s fun, creative, diverse and low-tech.

In this kit, you’ll get blocks, rollercoaster materials, MakeDo for cardboard construction*, a pneumatics kit, and most importantly, an activity guide that’ll help you make programs that are rich and appropriate for your audiences. Many of the activities are launched with a book or storytelling, to give it your signature library feel.
Activities include:
- Building rollercoasters, which is fun for all ages
- Group and solo Kapla block challenges
- Building a Mars hub with cardboard and MakeDo* – no tape or glue required!
- A pneumatics challenge based on “We’re Going on a Bear Hunt”, and other story-based challenges
* Cardboard is not included for the MakeDo activities.
Booking details for 2026 expressions of interest
- Suitable for: Ages 6+ (this kit is not Curriculum-aligned)
- Cost: $85 (GST inclusive) for a 2-week loan
- Weight: This kit weighs 21kg. It is on wheels, however it will require two people for lifting.
- Delivery: Kits will be delivered by post. We pay for posting the kit to you, you pay for return postage. Other arrangements may be possible upon booking.
