​New species of Hydropsychidae (Insecta:Trichoptera) from northern Australia

Abstract

Five new species of hydropsychid caddisflies of northern Australia are described from males, females and larvae: Cheumatopsyche kakaduensis sp. nov., C. suteri sp. nov., C. wellsae sp. nov., C. dostinei sp. nov. and Asmicridea capricornica sp. nov. Cheumatopsyche kakaduensis sp. nov. has hus far only been recorded from Kakadu National Park, while he remaining four species are widely distributed across northern Australia.Distribution maps are presented with keys for identification of males, females and larvae.
