Aboriginal String Bags, Nets and Cordage
Based on the author’s field work among Aboriginal communities on both west and east coasts of Cape York Peninsula, Aboriginal String Bags, Nets and Cordage is a uniquely detailed study of the fibre crafts made by these people.
The book contains many photographs of the manufacturing process as well as detailed diagrams of weaving techniques, meticulously derived through a study of artefacts held in the collections of Museum Victoria.
