Fight for Survival

The campaign to save Northland Secondary College

Fight for Survival was a community-developed exhibition hosted by Melbourne Museum in Bunjilaka Cultural Centre in 2022.

It reflected on why Northland Secondary College meant so much to so many people, particularly First Peoples' communities, and the fallout when the Victorian State Government announced its closure in 1992.

This lecture features curators and story holders of the Fight for Survival exhibition discussing the significance of the grassroots campaign against the closing Northland Secondary College which was won in 1995.
