I am a museum professional, curator and historian who enjoys bringing diverse teams together to creatively respond to challenges. I am passionate about finding innovative, engaging and collaborative ways to share and connect objects and stories with the community.
I’ve worked at Museums Victoria for over ten years with a number of different History & Technology collections. Much of my work has focused on making the collections available and allowing people to connect with them through online and digital projects. I have also worked as a curator undertaking research to document the collections and understand them better, collecting new objects and sometimes disposing of old ones.
Now my focus is on providing strategic and innovative leadership for the History & Technology Department. To facilitate the development, care and use of the history & technology collections and to build staff expertise. Most importantly I continue to work with colleagues and the community to share the collections and their stories and connect them with people.
I am currently completing currently completing a PhD at Deakin University titled ‘Snowflakes in a Sunburnt Country: a heritage of skiing in Australia’.
If I’m not working or studying you can find me on a mountain somewhere skiing.
