My story, your story, our story

Talking Faiths is a collaborative project that supports intercultural and interfaith dialogue in communities and schools, using migration stories as bridges to increase interest and understanding. The project provides a framework for young people to explore interfaith issues through a multicultural perspective, and is supported by the programs, exhibitions and online materials of the Immigration Museum.

During 2009, two dialogue programs for students from a range of denominational and non denominational schools in Melbourne were documented. The programs were the Melbourne Interfaith and Intercultural Cluster Socratic Circles and Building Bridges through Interfaith Dialogue. The material that has been created provides online tools to initiate, facilitate and guide multi cultural and interfaith discussion with secondary and tertiary students, adult learners, and community and faith groups.

The exhibition Talking Faiths: My story, your story, our story at the Immigration Museum showcases these programs and the rich education resources they have produced.
