As darkness falls, experience the illuminating effects of light as Scienceworks opens late for night owls to enjoy the new interactive exhibition, LightTime.
See the work of eleven Melbourne artists and creators who dramatically manipulate light, colour and shadow. Integrating art, science, design and technology, immerse yourself in a dynamic kaleidoscope of illumination and sound.
Kit Webster will give a spot talk in his infinity room work Deep Dream, giving us an insight into what goes into creating the infinite and the science behind the work.
Eiichi Tosaki & Unmani Rubinstein will perform Darktime. Both blindfolded, Eiichi will paint with light triggering a soundscape based on his movements and Unmani will respond to the soundscape, using hearing, touch, and memory to connect to the sense of bodily existence.
Bar and snacks onsite.
