Cub Scout Engineering days showcase Museum Victoria's historic vehicle collection, Pumping Station and machines.
The program includes a half hour simple machines show, a self-guided tour of the Pumping Station with an iPad (supplied) and a take home construction set to build a working machine.
More dates will be released if demand is high.
10.30am or 11.30am
This half hour, presenter-led show will cover how simple machines such as inclined planes, wheel and axle machines, wedges, screws, levers and pulleys make it easier to do work.
12pm or 2pm
The Spotswood Pumping Station was built in the 1890s as a key component of the Melbourne Sewerage Scheme. Cubs will be loaned an iPad (between two) that includes videos, animations and other media that brings to life the amazing engineering feats involved in the construction of the Spotswood Pumping Station.
Child/Cub Scout: $15
Adults: 1 free adult/leader entry with every eight Cub Scouts.
