Learn how to use an affordable versatile tool to teach digital technologies and design in a real world STEM context.

Teachers will use Scienceworks exhibits as inspiration for a mini design sprint. Get a brief insight into the design and programming behind some of the most interactive exhibits. Teachers will have the opportunity to create something that can sense and do with BBC Micro:bit and add-ons. No prior experience necessary as teachers will be taught to program with the online block editor or experienced programming teachers can flex their JavaScript and Python skills.

BYO device with USB input or contact us to reserve one of ours. Price includes a BBC micro:bit to take home.

  • Morning tea provided, BYO Lunch. Food and drinks are also available for purchase from Scienceworks café, open from 10am.
  • There will be limited spaces for this event and a waitlist will be enabled.
  • This session is suitable for upper Primary and Secondary teachers.
  • Please register prior to the session for MV Teachers.

Cancellation policy

Cancellations within 2 weeks of the event without a medical certificate will not be refunded. Scienceworks reserves the right to cancel the event if minimum numbers are not met and a full refund will be issued.
