Teachers will experience The Puzzling Perception Challenge and the Invisible Light Workshop and provide their thoughts on the programs as well as view the Planetarium show, Black Holes. These programs complement the Beyond Perception exhibition themes.
Beyond Perception offers immersive experiences that enable students to explore the imperceptible worlds of science and technology. Topics include light and sound, gravitational waves, particle accelerators, microscopic worlds and aerodynamics.
The invisible Light workshop explores the electromagnetic spectrum, including radio waves, ultraviolet light and infra-red light using specialized cameras. Students discover whether these forms of light can be transmitted or be blocked by certain materials and apply their discoveries to real-world problem-solving tasks.
The Puzzling Perception Challenge is an engaging problem-solving experience that will immerse them in the Beyond Perception exhibition themes with a unique twist.
Students test their problem solving, critical and creative thinking skills and communication skills as they work collaboratively to solve a mystery. They will be expected to solve puzzles, find hidden clues and codes and solve equations before their thirty minutes is up.
