Design your own Oppy
Students use recycled materials to design their own Mars rover.
Ask students to:
- Explore the past rovers and robots that have visited Mars here.
- Read all about Mars here.
- Design your own rover using recycled materials, Lego or other building materials. Some ideas for recycled materials you can use include: Icy pole sticks, lids, elastic bands, old CDs or DVDs, toilet paper or paper towel rolls, cardboard, plastic bottles, egg cartons, sticky tape, skewers, plastic containers, paper cups, scissors, boxes, pipe cleaners, cotton wool.
