Planetarium closure 10 February-9 March 2019: We are excited to announce the Melbourne Planetarium will be upgrading its state-of-the-art visual system to one that is brighter and three times the resolution of the current system. The upgraded system will give you an even better, immersive and awe-inspiring astronomical experience. The Planetarium will be closed during this period.

Space exploration, our greatest adventure, is having a big impact on our lives. From discovering a universe of unimaginable scale and beauty, to reaching down into our world and influencing the way in which we live.

Narrated by Top Gear’s James May, see the impact space technology has on our day-to-day lives.

Produced by the Franklin Institute in association with Sky-Skan.
