What's On

Anton Hasell will present an in-depth lecture on making resonant artworks. His story starts with the early commission of a bell commemorating the life of writer Tilly Aston, through casting the Federation Bells carillon and handbells, to the 10,000 year clock installed in the heart of a mountain in Texas, a project of the Long Now Foundation.

Anton was recently awarded an ANAT Synapse-CSIRO residency to work in Lab 22 (3D Printing Structures) to test new methods of bell production and to analyse the frequency array of test casting and direct metal prints. In addition to this residency, Anton is also an Adjunct Professor at RMIT University’s SIAL Sound Studios.
