What's On

With themes changing every term, come and play in our newest program for 3 to 5 year olds.

Each Playdate is facilitated by a learning expert, and is themed around exciting ideas to connect children to their world through museum objects.

Children must be accompanied by one adult. Book now to avoid disappointment.

Prehistoric Playdates

Tuesday 26 November

A celebration of all things prehistoric from the smallest trilobite to the largest sauropod. Children and their parents will join museum experts as they explore the Dinosaur Walk and 600 Million Years galleries, and ask themselves the question "Why do we love dinosaurs so much?".

Wild Playdates

Tuesday 28 January & 25 February
9–10am & 11am–midday

'Look deep into nature, and then you will understand everything better.' Albert Einstein knew this and so too will children and their parents as they join museum experts in this exploration of the Wild gallery. From numbat and okapi to pangolin and beyond, guests will reflect on why some animals are thriving but others are barely surviving. Want to know what is happening and how you can help?
