What's On

Invented in the 1650s, magic lanterns were the world’s first projectors of images. Without them, we wouldn’t have the
moving images of today.

Until the advent of photography, images on the slides were hand drawn and coloured. We will use the same historic techniques to create our own individual magic lantern slides.

Suitable for families with children 6 to 12 years.

Part of PHOTO 2020 International Festival of Photography.
