Explore the brand new Fashion Redux exhibition, where Melbourne fashion names have brought out and reimagined items from the museum's vast and fascinating collection.
An exciting fusion of styles from the past and present created by today's hottest fashionistas, Fashion Redux is a collaborative exhibition between leading Melbourne fashion identities and Museums Victoria's fashion archives.
The results create a contemporary snapshot of how styles from the past can be reinterpreted to become part of the Now.
Access to the fashion and textiles archives was granted to fashion design duo Alpha60, fashion entrepreneurs How Two Live, stylist Kate Gaskin, jewellery designer Kristy Dickinson, costume designer Marion Boyce, fashion designer Nixi Killick, stylist Ntombi Moyo, milliner Melissa Jackson and couture house J'Aton.
Museums Victoria presents Fashion Redux proudly supported by Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival.
In this series of videos, the artists talk about their approach, their impressions of the store and what it was like working with these reflections from the past.
