In this free event see early career researchers take to the stage with their short, sharp tales of science, battling it out to become a FameLab champion.
FameLab, created by Cheltenham Festival, is an international science communication competition that aims to find the most charismatic up-and-coming scientists from around the world. FameLab is produced in Australia by the Foundation for the WA Museum and key international partner, British Council.
Australia's top early career researchers will use their use their charm, charisma and knowledge to battle it out for a place in the Australian National Final. They'll have just three minutes to present their scientific concept to a live audience and a panel of judges. No PowerPoint and no jargon, but props are encouraged!
The Australian winner will go on to compete at the UK's Cheltenham Science Festival in June 2019 alongside scientists from over 30 countries.
