The Co-creative teens program is dedicated to developing co-creative skills and digital literacies of young people aged 13–16.
Over the term participants explore the unique stories and collection at Museums Victoria and work together to create a piece of work to be exhibited in the Melbourne Museum Learning Lab. Participants will gain insight into content areas and develop skills in team work, creative digital technologies and research. From filmmaking to exhibition development to virtual reality to immersive projections - join us in these term long adventures.
The final session of each term includes a showcase of the participants work and we invite all families and friends to experience their magnificent creations.
Melbourne Museum’s Co-creative teens program runs each Tuesday of the school term and takes place in Melbourne Museum’s Learning Lab Studio. Each session is limited to 20 participants.
Term 2 (11-week course) frames the role of museums in society asking teens to create a digital museum exhibition for the future full of the ephemeral objects we use today.
