VCE VET Furnishing provides students with the skills and knowledge to enhance their employment opportunities in the furnishing industry. Students can produce a variety of high-quality furniture items. The work selected for this exhibition showcases a range of capabilities in traditional furniture-making, including craftsmanship, joinery, use of hand and power tools and the ability to finish furniture pieces to a high standard.

Grandfather Clock

The idea behind the Grandfather Clock was to create a family heirloom that will last multiple lifetimes. Taking both traditional and modern influences, the Grandfather Clock employed processes such as turning, and techniques such as mitring, rebating and modern joining techniques to produce the final piece.
