How has work changed over time? How does work impact on the environment? How is work influenced by technological change? These questions introduce students to key economic concepts within a historical perspective.

Students work in teams to uncover the story behind objects found in workers' bags from key time periods of the exhibition.

This activity is followed by a self-directed session - a discovery trail into the evocative stories of the Melbourne Story exhibition.
