Friday 23 August - Melbourne Museum | Tickets on sale now

Nocturnal is back for White Night Reimagined this August, as RocKwiz present a live extravaganza inspired by Revolutions: Records and Rebels - the international blockbuster exhibition blowing minds at Melbourne Museum. It's an adult-only evening, so order a cocktail and leave your hang-ups at home.

Harnessing the magic that lit up Australian television screens for fifteen years, beloved broadcaster and co-host Brian Nankervis will bring RocKwiz and its inimitable Orkestra to Melbourne Museum for one special evening.
Alt-pop artist Olympia will join Nankervis on stage, alongside British India frontman Declan Melia, The Groop's Ronnie Charles and a handful of fans ready to flex their knowledge.

For inspiration, the RocKwiz Brains Trust have turned to Revolutions: Records and Rebels, a "mind-bending" new deep dive into the music, activism, fashion and technology of the late 1960s brought to life with more than 600 amazing objects from London's V&A Museum and Museums Victoria's own collection.

Alive and kicking ahead of the main event, visitors can enjoy a rare after-hours explore through the world of Revolutions, from swinging London, Vietnam, Woodstock and our own shores. Plus - for any queens in need of a beehive - the exhibition's own Vidal Sassoon hair salon will come to life with Paradise Cutters offering complimentary '60s hair styling all night long.

Whilst visitors turn on, tune in and drop out, Brian will be on scouting duties - handpicking audience members to take part in a challenge to separate the Pretty Knowledgeable from the Tragic, Dedicated and Ready For Action. Once the dust settles, four contestants will be left standing and invited to join Brian and special guests for the main event.

As buzzers are polished and strings are tuned, Brian will dig into his record collection and set the dancefloor alight. So, if you're not busy meeting your microbes inside Gut Feelings or saying hello to Phar Lap, get ready to shake it up to some rocking cuts from '66 to ’70.

Then, without further ado, the mighty Orkestra will launch into those familiar chords of the RocKwiz theme and the show will be up and running. Fabulous musical guests will be guessed in Who Can It Be Now? Million Dollar Riffs will be played, identified and played again. Revolutions-inspired Local and or General questions will be asked. And - of course - The Furious Five will lead to a signature closing duet and all in sinaglong to raise the Museum roof.

Don your thinking caps and lace up your dancing shoes. This revolution will not be televised.
