6.30pm-9pm, Wednesday 21 November 2018

We’ll hear from urban futurist Stephen Yarwood of City 2050 as together we explore themes such as the shift in workforce and, the importance of computational literacy and what it will mean to be a citizen of the future.

Scientific literacy was the vitally important thing 20 years ago; if you wanted to be able to be literate to the world around you, you needed an understanding of science, even if you didn’t want to be a scientist. The new literacy is computational literacy. Even if you never write a computer program in your life, to be a citizen or member of the workforce of the future individuals and companies will need to have a greater degree of computational literacy. As always, there will be plenty of opportunities to network and the Museums Victoria MV Business+ team will be on hand to facilitate introductions to useful connections on the night.
