In Filosofi Kopi Film 2: Ben & Jody (2017), two baristas find the purpose of life through their love of coffee and trying to give their customers the best coffee they can grind, brew and serve.
Taking place two years after Ben (Chicco Jerikho) & Jody (Rio Dewanto) decide to sell their store and travel around Indonesia to distribute terbaik, the best coffee, their adventures have hit a dead end. What is their dream now?
This is a movie about friendship, family, love, and what happens when you need to re-think your purpose. A lot is also revealed about coffee origins, brewing techniques, and the business side of building a coffee empire.
Bring your picnic rug and cash to enjoy Indonesian snacks and coffee along with live music before night falls and the film rolls.
Presented in partnership with Indonesian Film Festival, in collaboration with The University of Melbourne Indonesian Student Association.
This is an adult 16+ event. Event is free but bookings are required.
Please note this is an outdoor film screening (in case of inclement weather, program will still run with some adjustments).
This program is part of Cultural Diversity Week, from 16–24 March 2019. Now in its 17th year, Cultural Diversity Week is a chance to learn, share, connect and enjoy—to honour our differences and unite in our shared humanity.
