Join us for a day in the garden as we celebrate our new exhibition Grow Gather Share with workshops for all ages by Cultivating Community.

Budding Food Gardeners

10am–12pm, Free

Join us for a range of free outdoor activities that encourage children to find hidden treasures, grow their own food, pot up a plant to take home and save some seeds for the future. 

Open to children of all ages. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Interesting Edible Plants to Grow at Home


Ever wondered how to grow a vanilla orchid indoors? This workshop for adults will show you how to grow a range of unusual edible plants from around the world, tips for harvesting and use, as well as the opportunity to propagate some plants to take home.

Cultivating Community is a not for profit organisation working toward an equitable food system that sustains the health and diversity of our communities and our environment.  Our passion for creating a better food future involves activities spanning food systems advocacy and support, urban agriculture, community food centres, school food gardens, food waste management and environmental education.  Our mission is to work with diverse and low-income communities to create fair, secure and resilient food systems.
