Join artists from the AND/OR program for a discussion exploring the complexities of intersectional identities.
And/or; these are words we are often offered in forms, surveys, legal documents. It's amazing how two words are meant to summarise the complexities of intersectional identities. Join leading artists from the AND/OR program to expand on those complexities, discussing some of the strengths and challenges of 'And/or'.
Facilitated by the incomparable Patrick Hayes, along with our esteemed guest panellists; Jamila Main, Elvin Lam, and Jodee Mundy OAM. Join them as they explore the ideologies behind "And/Or" as a program and concept, upholding the voices of queer, trans & gender diverse creatives having lived experiences with disabilities.
AND/OR breaks new artistic ground, shining the spotlight on our communities and centering own voices. Autonomy, expression, humour, agency, innovation, urgency, strength, access, collaboration, humility, visibility, showcase, experimentation, politics, affirmation, self-representation, and more collide and amalgamate in endless re-combinations. AND/OR.
Tickets include entry to the museum and exhibition Becoming You: An Incomplete Guide.
