Brendan Hitchens and Satoshi Sanada from the Asia Education Foundation and Jan Molloy from Immigration Museum, will lead the conversation and offer perspectives from primary and secondary classrooms as we all consider representation and reflections of cultural diversity in the classroom materials.

Responding to the following questions the panel will interrogate texts, movies, music, incursions, and excursions.

  • Who writes the stories?
  • Who benefits from the stories?
  • Who is missing from the stories?

The discussion will focus on the Victorian Curriculum: Intercultural Capabilities domain and consider how it can be integrated across the curriculum.
