This program is designed to support students undertaking VCE Sociology Unit 3 – Area of Study 2: Ethnicity.
Students will participate in an interactive classroom session which will introduce the following concepts and illustrate with content from the Migration and Cultural Diversity collection:
Barriers and enablers to inclusion and belonging in a culturally diverse society
- Customs and traditions
- Social attitudes
- Political factors
Students will be guided through the resources available for independent research into specific communities in Victoria. The session will conclude with a visit to the museum galleries, including the Identity exhibition.
