The Journey Home: Artworks from The Torch

Many well-known Koorie artists have created works while imprisoned, some of which have been purchased by leading galleries around the world. See a variety of artworks by Indigenous artists from south-eastern Australia who are currently participating in The Torch's Indigenous Arts in Prison and Community program.

Focusing on the role of cultural strengthening and artistic expression, these works form part of a rehabilitation process that helps build confidence, social capital and can create a pathway to economic stability. By embracing participants as artists rather than ex-offenders, The Torch provides an avenue to change.
