Tell us your Myer Christmas window memories

Since 1956 the Myer Christmas windows have been delighting visitors to Bourke Street Mall. We are seeking memories, stories and/or photos of your experiences of the magical Myer Christmas windows.

If you remember visiting the windows we’d love to hear from you.

Did you travel into town to see the windows?
Was/is it an annual tradition?
Did you line up in your PJs to see the windows at night?
Do you have a favourite window that you’ll never forget?
Who did you go with?

Your contribution may be included in an upcoming exhibition at Melbourne Museum.

Please see below for an example of a memory contributed to the exhibition.

"I brought my Alice in Wonderland picture book with me – visiting the windows felt like that imaginary world was springing to life in front of my little eyes. I wanted to climb right in."
